NATURAL DEODORANT RECIPE
With everything in the media and all of the research into the use of aluminuim salts in deodorants and antiperspirants, many of us have been on the lookout for a natural deodorant that actually works. I feel like I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of money on natural deodorants that I’ve used for 1-2 days and then end up pushing them to the back of the cupboard because they just don’t work for me. So many of the natural deodorants aren’t antibacterial and rather than absorbing the sweat, they try (and often fail) to disguise it.
A few people suggested I should try making some myself and that they had heard great things about homemade deodorants. So, a few weeks ago, I got in touch with Gwen who has a company called Cosmaking. She sells everything you could possibly need for a huge number of homemade beauty products. She kindly sent me a DIY beauty kit and I thought I’d talk you through how to make your own and give you my thoughts on whether or not it works for me.

One thing that I forgot to mention in the video, is that if you don’t remove the hair under your arms, I’m not sure how this easy this would be to apply. I think it would probably be a bit annoying to put on and you’d have to swing your arms around very enthusiastically and looking like a bit of a fool to help rub it in.
Other than that, I’m really happy with it and I think I’ve found just the right deodorant for me!
What do you think? Would you consider making your own deodorant, or is even the thought of it way too much of a faff?
Thanks for stopping by for a read. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. xS
