DIY EMBROIDERED QUOTE T-SHIRT
As much as I will avoid trousers in the summertime, in the winter I’m such a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl so I love finding easy ways to make a plain t-shirt that little bit more special. I’ve seen loads of embroidered quote t-shirts in the shops and online but I’m always put off my the quotes. I just can’t see myself walking around with a t-shirt that says something like “radiate positivity” or most things that people slap on t-shirts these days.
They are so easy to make and I like the idea of being able to pick your quote and have it in your own handwriting, too. Here’s a quick (well, not that quick) and easy tutorial showing you how to embroider your own quote t-shirt.
How to make an embroidered quote t-shirt
All you need:
- Stripey t-shirt (I used this one from Zalando)
- Embroidery hoop
- Embroidery interfacing similar here
- White cotton thread to tack on the interfacing to the t-shirt
- Thicker cotton thread for the lettering
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Needles
- A book to lean on

I love how this turned out and have been wearing it pretty much non-stop these days tucked into high-waisted jeans with a belt. It’s such a simple outfit but a little bit more personal than just a plain striped tee.
I’d love to know what you think and ever better, if you’d consider making one yourself.
Have a lovely day! Big bisous xS
